Campus emergency preparedness and strategies will be the focus of a Campus-Community Coalition (CCC) meeting on Wednesday, April 9, 6:30-8:00 p.m., Africana Studies and Research Center, 310 Triphammer Road, Ithaca.

This public forum -- "Post-Virginia Tech: Update on Local Campus Preparedness" -- will review emergency response measures that were launched before, or initiated in response to, last April's tragedy at Virginia Tech.

In addition, campus staff from student mental health services and other departments will be on hand to take questions. Students, faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to attend.

The CCC is made up of representatives from Cornell, Ithaca College, and Tompkins Cortland Community College, and meets regularly to discuss shared interests and challenges.

For more information contact Bob Holt, director of public safety (rholt@ithaca.edu) or Priscilla Quirk, coordinator of health promotion (pquirk@ithaca.edu).
