History major Amanda Stricker '08, art major Christopher Loomis '08, anthropology major Rebecca Grollman '10, and Vivian Bruce Conger, assistant professor of history, presented a panel at the Northeast Regional Honors Conference in Morristown, New Jersey, on Saturday, April 5.

The panel was entitled, "Pedagogical Revolutions: The Power and Fate of the Republic." Conger briefly introduced the "Reacting to the Past" role-playing pedagogy she embraced in her intermediate honors history seminar last fall. Stricker, Loomis, and Grollman then reenacted representative portions of the speeches they made during "New York City in the American Revolution."

All four engaged a very interested audience in a lively and informative discussion of the benefits and weaknesses of the pedagogy.
