Volunteers are still needed for the Ithaca Multiple Sclerosis Walk on Sunday, May 4, 2008!
Volunteers are needed to support those who have raised money and will be walking 3 miles to help support people in our area with multiple sclerosis (MS). Many with MS are no longer able to walk and have had that ability taken from them by this debilitating disease. The walkers walk these 3 miles for those who can no longer enjoy such a privilege.
If you’re interested in participating, contact Doreen Hettich-Atkins at dhettichatkins@ithaca.edu or via phone at 274-3374. Both walkers and volunteers are still needed.
For more information about MS, a debilitating disease of the nervous system that typically strikes young adults between the ages of 20 and 50, go to www.nmss.org.
