Diane M. Gayeski, associate dean of faculty and professor of strategic communication, received the Thomas F. Gilbert Distinguished Professional Achievement Award at the annual International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) conference.
Named after a foundational contributor to the field of human performance technology (HPT), this award recognizes those who have made outstanding contributions to the knowledge and practice of HPT.
Gayeski has been an active member in ISPI since 1984 and has made countless conference presentations and pre-conference workshops as well as two Masters' Series presentations at conferences. She has authored 14 books, including books on managing communication and learning as business assets and mobile technologies, and has written more than 100 book chapters and articles.
She also has been an active consultant since 1976, focusing on helping organizations develop innovative and forward-looking approaches to communication, collaboration, and learning in their organizations.
