Elisabeth Nonas has taught at Ithaca College since 1996 and was promoted to associate professor in 2007. In addition to teaching the full curriculum in screenwriting and taking the lead on its revisions, she is now developing the area of writing for video games and immersive media. She is a remarkably effective teacher as documented by student comment, peer observation, and review of materials. She also is a model for students as a productive writer of screenplays, fiction and nonfiction books, essays and short stories, and articles.

Patricia R. Zimmermann has taught at Ithaca College since 1981 and was promoted to professor in 1995. Her scholarly work explores film, video, and digital media theory and history; and her early work created a new area for film scholars. She has published three books, three scholarly monographs, edited a series of five books, and published over 125 articles. Perhaps most important is the range of her influence, as she has been invited to lecture in 15 countries, has presented at the Sundance Film Festival, has collaborated with the Smithsonian Institution, has had work performed at the Museum of Modern Art, and has recently led the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival to new areas.

Laurie Arliss has taught at Ithaca College since 1984 and was promoted to professor in 2000. Her service to department, school, and College include key decision-making roles over her entire career here. At the school level, she was recognized as a "Particularly Meritorious Faculty" three times, based on her service to the most central endeavors. Her involvement since 2006 demonstrates a remarkable level of leadership and commitment, as she served on three central committees (Planning and Priorities, Enrollment Planning, and Middle States Steering) as well as the Provost Search Committee. During her spring 2008 sabbatical leave, she chaired the search committee for the new H&S dean.
