Reception for Townsend Plant

Townsend Plant '97, M.M. '00, director of music admission programs since 2001, will soon take on the position of director of admissions and financial aid for Indiana University's School of Music in Bloomington, one of the largest music schools in the country. A farewell reception will be held on Thursday, May 8, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in the Friends Green Room (James J. Whalen Center for Music, room 3106).

Townsend recently completed a doctorate in guitar performance at the Eastman School of Music. Associate dean Bill Pelto observed, "Even though we'll miss Townsend, it's a source of great pride to us that the work he's done here has led him to such an impressive career advancement."
