Susan Thomas and Crystal Wheeler, graduate students in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, presented an award-winning paper titled "Classroom Learning: Assessment of Traditional and PowerPoint Presentations" at the International Conference of Teaching and Learning in Jacksonville, Florida, in April 2008.

Their research was directed by Kal M. Telage, professor of speech-language pathology and audiology. They were awarded a travel grant from Provost Kathleen Rountree and travel support from HSHP Dean Steven Siconolfi to enable them to present their paper.
