This Monday, April 28, the MLK Scholars will hold a photography exhibit featuring photos based on their experiences abroad.
Gaining an international perspective is an important part of what the MLK Scholar Program seeks to achieve, and the nature of this exhibit, as well as the photos to be displayed, are meant to be representative of this striving for a broader, more global perspective. It is intended to show that it is not been just the academic but also the personal understanding of other people, places, and things that they have encountered in places outside the United States.
The MLK Scholars will also be selling prints of the photos displayed to raise funds for the MLK
Scholars Social Justice Fund, which was founded by an MLK Scholar alum from the class of 2006.
The photo exhibit and sale will be held in the Campus Center lobby, and will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please help support the scholars in their initiative to make a positive difference.
