Nine Park School students presented at the 2008 Conference for Undergraduate Research in Communication at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) on April 18 in Rochester, New York. Two students received first-place honors in their respective categories.

Julie Y. Tausend '08 received first place in the communication technology division for her paper, titled "Effects of Interactive Multimedia in E-Learning."

Elizabeth VanDurme '10 won first place in the media studies division for her paper, "How Gender Is Portrayed to the World: A Content Analysis of Magazine Covers."
