Buddy Stetz, a senior application developer in the department of Information Systems & Services within the division of Information Technology Services, has announced his retirement effective June 15, 2008.

Buddy has worked as a programmer/analyst for ISS dedicating the vast majority of his 23 years of service in support of the college’s alumni/gift processing system, better known as the Advance system. Buddy has been an integral part of the ISS staff and has supported many major initiatives over the years helping to implement a number of in-house developed information systems as well as Parnassus and more recently Homer.

Being the humble and shy person that Buddy is, he has requested that there not be a formal farewell reception in his honor. Instead I ask people to please stop by Buddy’s office in Phillips Hall anytime prior to June 13th and wish him a hearty thank you and fond farewell. In lieu of a gift, please bring an autographed golf ball and deposit in the bowl on Buddy’s desk. This is his way of remembering all of those with whom he shared so many years and experiences.

Respectfully submitted by Rick Chandler
