Researchers at the University of Evansville, one of our colleagues in the Associated New American Colleges (ANAC) organization, are conducting a study of senior faculty. All IC associate and full professors are invited to participate. Please see their letter (after the jump) for further information and directions.

Dear Ithaca associate and full professors,
We are conducting a study related to the status of senior faculty in academia. Specifically, we are focusing on the following:
1. Senior faculty perceptions of academia in general
2. Senior faculty perceptions of relationships with students, administrators, and other faculty
3. Senior faculty perceptions of their readiness for retirement
4. Senior faculty assessments of their current jobs
For our sample we have chosen faculty at the consortium of ANAC colleges, of which both Ithaca College and the University of Evansville are members.
All responses are completely anonymous. Neither the faculty member nor the college or university can be identified. The study design has been approved by the University of Evansville's institutional review board.
Completing the questionnaire should take only about 10 to 15 minutes.
