Assistant professor of physics Luke Keller spoke in May at the invitation of the Lincoln Center Institute for the Arts in Education at a panel discussion of imagination, its role in education, and how imagination is related to innovation.

The Lincoln Center Institute, the educational arm of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City, awards grants to New York City public schools that incorporate imagination -- particularly the development of imagination in their students -- as a focus across the curriculum. The panel discussion was part of this year's Imagination Awards ceremony.

The other panelists were Nick Fortugno, president of the Rebel Monkey computer gaming company; David Gonzalez, writer and storyteller; Sarah Blos, director of the Satellite Academy High School (2007 winner of the Imagination Award); and Stanley Pierre Louis, vice president and associate general counsel at Viacom. Chris Cuomo of ABC News moderated the discussion.
