IC Hope, Ithaca's award-winning Relay for Life team, is pleased to announce six awesome fund-raisers to get you through the summer! Tickets for most of these will be on sale July 1, 2, and 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. each day in the Campus Center lobby. From cash to gas, we've got you covered! Here is what we are featuring:
* Beautifully handmade cards of hope, cancer awareness, and encouragement, made individually by Andrea McClatchie. Cards are $2 each or three for $5. Come early before they sell out!
*A 50/50 raffle: the winner get half and the Relay gets half -- everyone wins! Last year's winner made a great haul!
* Luminaria sales: buy and decorate a bag to remember a loved one or to encourage a friend battling cancer. We'll provide the bags and markers and will even decorate your bags for you! Bags are $5 each.
* Our INCREDIBLE New Year's resolutions gift baskets: have we got loot for you! We are offering ten baskets, each with a New Year's resolution theme, chock full of goodies for you. A $100 gas card is included in one; others feature movies, food, beauty products, children's books, lottery tickets, champagne ... and much, much more! Stock up on tickets before your friends beat you to the punch!
* Sun Cards: remember a cancer survivor or someone who has succumbed to cancer. Cards are available at the bursar's office in Job Hall or the Division of Graduate and Professional Studies in the Towers Concourse. Only $1 each!
Raffle prizes will be drawn the night of the Relay, July 11. And we will deliver your winnings to you!
The Relay for Life takes place is July 11-12 at Lansing High School. It begins at 6:00 p.m. Friday and ends at 8:00 a.m. the following morning.
There will also be fresh lemonade there! Come to the Relay, walk a few laps, and enjoy some nice cool lemonade sold by the Reynolds family at their beautiful lemonade stand!
