Lis Maurer, coordinator of the Center for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Education, Outreach, and Services, copresented at the annual conference of the Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists in June in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Maurer and colleague Debbie Bazarsky, director of the LGBT center at Princeton University, presented "Trans-Action: Improving Campuses for Transgender and Genderqueer Students," a session focusing on serving the needs of transgender college students. The session was recognized at the conference's awards luncheon.

While in Louisiana, Maurer also provided technical assistance to the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals' Office of Public Health, providing a professional development session on health issues and LGBT people for staff from across the state.
