Heyne Publishes Article, "Take Back Your Time"

Linda Heyne's article, "Take Back Your Time: Facilitating a Student-Led Teach-In," appears in the current issue of SCHOLE: A Journal of Leisure Studies and Recreation Education. Heyne is an associate professor of recreation and leisure studies in the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance.

Heyne's article describes how her leisure education students conducted a workshop to educate the IC campus community about issues of time poverty, overwork, and over-scheduled lifestyles in the United States.

"Take Back Your Time" is also the name of a national movement founded by John DeGraaf. You may read more about this initiative at www.timeday.org.
