Welcome to Intercom, Ithaca College's community information center.
Intercom is a compendium of news and events written by members of the Ithaca College community. Announcements of campus news, lectures, performances, and achievements are its heart and pulse.
On a typical day, 2,700 visitors to the Intercom website request 31,300 web pages. Each week an average of 43 contributors submit 57 new stories to Intercom. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday an e-mail roundup of the most recent stories is distributed to 8,322 full- and part-time faculty, students, and staff. Our contributors add new stories around the clock, seven days a week.
This circulatory system would not function without these contributions, nor would it survive without the efforts of the Ithaca College web team, who keep things running smoothly while you work and sleep. Working together we can ensure that Intercom brings to its readers the kind of information that best represents and educates this vibrant and dynamic campus.
Beginning this semester, the roundups will carry a new feature, "Intercom Top Stories." This list of important stories also may be found in the new myHome at Ithaca web portal (https://myhome.ithaca.edu), at the top left corner. Starting this week, the "Top Stories" will also be featured on the home page of the Intercom website (https://www.ithaca.edu/intercom).
