Donna Smith, who appeared in Michael Moore's 2007 documentary, Sicko, is the Health Care Road Show's featured speaker. She and her husband were forced to declare bankruptcy and lost their homes due to medical care costs.

Donna Smith will speak in Textor 103 on Monday, September 8, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Smith founded American Patients United. Her tour of New York is supported by the California Nurses Association. As part of the Health Care Road Show's stop in Ithaca, Smith will also speak the next day (September 9) at Cornell and at Kendal of Ithaca.
