Do you find yourself singing in your office when nobody is looking? Are you forlorn because you know you can sing better than half the contestants on American Idol? Singing along with the radio just not cutting it anymore?
Now's your chance to be appreciated! Please consider joining the faculty/staff/administrator choir, IC voICes!
IC voICes, under the direction of Susan Avery, associate professor of music education, is a group of your fellow coworkers who meet for the sheer joy of singing. Can't read music? No problem -- voICes is designed so that ALL can participate. Many of our members do not read music at all!
Worried about the time commitment? Choose what works for you! We currently meet on Tuesdays, both from noon to 1:00 p,m. and from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., with the possibility of a Thursday noon-1:00 p.m. session to follow. Come to one or come to both...it's your choice!
Worried about auditions? Worry no more ... there aren't any! You can sing wherever your voice feels most comfortable.
Please consider joining us on any coming Tuesday, as we begin our new season. We meet in Whalen 1207 (lower level). It's tons of fun, and a great way to enjoy your day! You owe it to yourself -- and you might be surprised to find some of your friends in there, too!
