Wednesday, October 15, is the sixth annual observance of National Latino AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD). It is a day of hope for the future of a world without AIDS.
NLAAD is a day of awareness and prevention of HIV/AIDS in Latina/o communities, and a time to renew our commitment to ending the spread of HIV and ensuring quality of life to those living with the disease. This year's theme is "United We Can: HIV/AIDS stops here. Prevention starts with us."
For resources and information, visit the National Latino AIDS Awareness Day website, www.nlaad.org.
For additional resources about HIV/AIDS, contact Action for AIDS, the group at Ithaca College responsible for undertaking the work of coordinating and developing educational programs and studying all AIDS-related issues on behalf of the campus community.
