Zillah Eisenstein of the Department of Politics will begin her sabattical year with a keynote address at the international conference, "The War Question for Feminism," to be held in Orebro, Sweden, September 22-23.

She will speak next during the week of October 12 in Capetown, South Africa, on issues of "gender, sexualities, and justice," as part of a collaboration with the Herstory Project, which is led by the Institute for Historical Research, University of the Western Cape, as well as Stellenbosch University and the University of Cape Town.

She will end the week with a public seminar called "Building Women's Activisms," presenting her newest book in progress, Possibilities: New Genders/New Races/New Feminisms (forthcoming 2009, Zed Press).
