- October 26: Allen Ginsberg, poet and activist
- October 27: Troy Perry, founder of Metropolitan Community Churches
- October 28: Bill T. Jones, dancer and choreographer
- October 29: Andy Warhol, artist, filmmaker, and publisher
- October 30: Rachel Carson, environmental pioneer
- October 31: Michelangelo, Renaissance painter, sculptor, and architect
