The Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) launches our "Teaching and Learning Commons," which the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching describes as "an intellectual community space provided to enrich and encourage exchange of knowledge about teaching and learning."

"Maximizing the Return on my Investment" is on Thursday, October 16, the first day of fall break, 10:00 a.m.-noon in CHS 413.

Research by Boice and others suggests that the most successful new faculty members actually spend substantially less time preparing classes and less time writing than those who are less successful. What do they know that you could learn?

This session presents scholarship and resources on reorienting class preparation, grading effectively and efficiently, and maintaining a healthy balance.
