Attention Seniors!
National Make a Difference Day is the most encompassing national day of helping others -- a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors.
On October 25th, The Center for Student Leadership and Involvement will be having its Service Saturdays Kick-Off event. Service Saturdays' is a CSLI program devoted to giving Ithaca College students opportunities and guidance to successfully volunteer in and around the Ithaca community. Service Saturdays Kick-Off event will include two amazing opportunities, a South Hill Clean-Up project and Bomber Buddies football excursion.
Service Saturdays has partnered with the South Hill Civic Organization and will be facilitating a south hill clean up effort from 9am to 1pm. Activities may include but are not limited to litter removal, raking, weed removal and so much more! You can volunteer for an hour or so and even the whole day if you want! Free Breakfast is included!
The second part of Service Saturdays' Kick-Off event is the Bomber Buddies program. Bomber Buddies is a program in which an Ithaca College student buddies up with a middle school student from Spencer Van Etten Middle School. The IC student will accompany the middle school student to Ithaca College's football game on October 25th. You will just answer any questions the student may have about IC or college in general along with providing any guidance the middle schooler may need. This event will run from 12pm to 3:30 pm and the volunteer is expected to stay for the full duration. Free admission to the game and concession stand vouchers will be included!
Sign Up forms can be found in the CSLI office (319 Egbert) or by e-mail request to givingback.IC09@gmail.com
