A service-learning, experiential field class that offers history and cultural study, cooking food underground, lomilomi massage, and volcanoes? Consider signing up for the Ithaca College winter session course The Anthropological Experience in Hawaii (ANTH 38100).

Earn three undergraduate credits while engaging an "anthropological approach" to understanding native Hawaiian civilization and archeological records with IC anthropology faculty members Brooke Hansen and Jack Rossen.

The course takes place in Hawaii from December 28, 2008, through January 14, 2009. Visit and learn about the 50th state in the 50th year of its statehood!
