Elliott Schwartz comes to campus as the Karel Husa Visiting Professor of Composition, as a part of the Enduring Masters series.

A concert of the Ithaca College Wind Ensemble, conducted by Steve Peterson, will include a performance of one of Schwartz's compositions on Tuesday, October 14. The performance begins at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall, located in the Whalen Center of Music. The concert is free and open to the public.

As part of his visit, Elliott Schwartz will lecture on his music and lessons to students at the Ithaca College School of Music.

The Enduring Masters concert series is a partnership of the Ithaca College School of Music and the Gerontology Institute's Linden Center for Creativity and Aging, a part of the Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies. The series is funded by the New York State Music Fund established by the New York attorney general at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, to bring underrepresented music to underserved audiences in New York.
