Students from Ithaca College's Los Angeles program will participate in the 2008 Los Angeles AIDS Walk on Sunday, October 19. Money raised goes to AIDS Project Los Angeles and other HIV/AIDS service providers in Los Angeles County.
More than 60 Ithaca College Los Angeles program students and alumni rocked along with a packed house at Hollywood's Unknown Theatre Saturday night, September 27, raising $450 for the ICLA AIDS walk team. Ithaca's musical talent was featured throughout the evening, including Jackie Sue Cook, Tape Deck Disaster (Amanda Horning, Jeff Cohen and Mak Pinciotti), Elemenopy (Joel Rutkowski and bandmate Nick Liberatore), and A Field of Flowers (Will Lerner and Jeff Cohen). Jason Sheridan provided MC services as well as comedy, and Oh Yeah, the Future ended the night on a high note.
Raffle prizes were also part of the fundraising efforts; winners took home "Heroes" tee shirts, "The Bonnie Hunt" VIP passes, a "Friends" DVD signed by Lisa Kudrow, CDs from Atlantic Records, homemade brownies and a script from "The Office" signed by the cast.
