To Vote or Not to Vote?

Contributed by Doreen Hettich-Atkins on 10/17/08

Have you ever said, "I don't want to vote because I don't know enough about the candidates"?

We're taking that excuse away. Stop by the Project Vote Smart Bus on Monday, October 20, the day we return from fall break. The bus will be parked in O lot (behind the Park School) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

At the bus, you can get unbiased information about the candidates and where they stand on the issues.

Project Vote Smart is a nonpartisan group that dedicates itself to creating informed voters. It provides information about local and national candidates, including biographical information, voting records, previous speeches, and special-interest group ratings.

For more information, check out their website at votesmart.org or call their toll-free hotline at 1-888-VOTESMART.

Also, don't forget about the mock debates being held that same evening in IC Square!
