Jog Gage, a sophomore exploratory student, and Shanan Glandz, a senior writing major, are the winners of the Perialas Prize in Persuasive Oratory for 2008.

This year the topic for the annual prize is "Who Should Be the Next President of the USA?" Students entering the contest spoke for Senators McCain and Obama. Although the prize called for speeches in support of an alternative-party candidate, no one on campus came forward.

This years winners will be recognized on Tuesday, October 28, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Clark Lounge. Gage will be speaking for Obama and Glandz will be speaking for McCain. The speeches will be followed by open rational discussion and some great Greek pastries.
