Katharine Kittredge, associate professor of English, published an article in the national journal Eighteenth-Century Fiction.

Titled "A Long Forgotten Sorrow: The Mourning Journal of Melesina Trench," the article is a comparison of the ways in which women from the late eighteenth and early and late nineteenth centuries describe their grief after losing a child.
