The Department of Economics was well represented at the 61st meeting of the New York State Economics Association. William Kolberg is the current president of the association and he arranged the meetings held on our campus on October 11.

Several economics and School of Business faculty presented papers or served on panels.

We are most proud of our student participants. Casey Wichman presented a paper entitled "An Assessment of U.S. Air Quality: Past, Present, and Future." Sara Holmes' paper was entitled "Measuring the Social Costs of a Chemical Spill in Ithaca, New York"; her paper won the "Best Student Paper" award.
