The first and only IC Debate took place on Monday, October 20, in IC Square. At this event, six students who represented their political party and their presidential candidate answered debate questions presented live from the moderator and the audience.
If you missed this exciting event tune into ICTV on Wednesday, October 22, at 9:00 p.m.
Special thanks to all of the students who participated!
Event planners Kayla Klein and Kaitlyn Golden coordinated all the intricacies of this event, from obtaining a moderator and speakers, to setting the timing, to arranging for ICTV coverage.
Our moderator, Bryan Mercer, who is also ICTV's news director, did a great job asking the tough questions and holding the candidates to their time limit while adding his own personal style to the action.
The following students did a great job representing their parties and spent hours researching the issues so they could be true to the issues.
IC Democrats:
Mark Brett and Juliana Stiles
IC Green:
Will Sterbenz and Will Mathewson
IC Republicans:
Shanan Grandz and Scott Smolinski
Thanks also to the 100-plus students who attended to support their colleagues and learn more about the issues.
