Did you know that, even if you live in New York, you still may need an absentee ballot to vote in the upcoming election?

If you live in New York and are registered to vote at your home address, you need to do one of the following things:

1. Drive home to vote at the polling place assigned to your registered address.
OR
2. Request an absentee ballot.

If you are registered using your on-campus Ithaca College address, you just need to remember to vote on November 4, bring your ID, and get to the Circles Community Center to vote between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.

If you're not sure where you're registered or want to check your voter registration, you can check your status at voterlookup.elections.state.ny.us

If you need an absentee ballot, here are two important steps:

1. Postmark your request for an absentee ballot by TOMORROW, Tuesday, October 28. (You can get your absentee ballot request form at New York State's Board of Elections site.)
2. Once you receive your ballot, it must be completed and postmarked by Monday, November 3.
