Submitted on behalf of Tanya R. Saunders, dean, Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies.

Patricia Zimmermann, professor of cinema, photography, and media arts and codirector of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival in the Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies, was invited to deliver the closing lecture at the Earth Art to Eco Art Symposium at Cornell University.

The title of Zimmermann's lecture was "EcoPublics." The lecture analyzed a variety of international locative media projects that redefine environmental art practices through digitality. The Earth Art to Eco Art Symposium commemorated the 40th anniversary of the landmark earth art exhibition at Cornell in 1968. Gathering together artists and scholars, the symposium explored environmentalism in art practices from earth art to digitality.
