Shubha Mudgal will conduct a workshop and perform a concert of Hindustani (North Indian) classical music on Tuesday, November 4, at 8:15 p.m. in the Hockett Family Recital Hall, Whalen Center for Music, Ithaca College. The renowned vocalist will perform with accompaniment by Aneesh Pradhan on tabla and Sudhir Nayak on harmonium.

Celebrated for her vocal and spiritual intensity, Shubha Mudgal takes Hindustani classical music soaring to a new level, free and unfettered by barriers yet true to its intrinsic origin.

The event is hosted by the Department of Anthropology with support by the School of Humanities and Sciences, School of Music, Departments of History and Politics, Office of Multicultural Affairs, Muslim Cultures Program in the Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies, Diversity Awareness Committee, H&S Honors Club, and the Asian Student and Anthropology Clubs.
