The Chemistry Seminar series presents invited speaker Anna Cherian. All are welcome to attend the seminar on Tuesday, November 11, at 4:30 p.m. in CNS 333.

Lecture Synopsis

Growing demand for high performance materials, decreasing petroleum supplies, and waste disposal problems have created a market for biodegradable and biorenewable materials. Through Novomer's innovative catalyst technology CO2, an abundant greenhouse gas, is used as a feedstock in the manufacturing of aliphatic polycarbonates, contributing up to 50% of the mass of the polymer.
