Do you smoke? Do you have friends who smoke?

The Great American Smokeout is coming up on Nov 20th. Quit attempts (even for one day) are more successful with advanced planning. Pick up a QUIT KIT and a "Sponsor a Quitter" Contract on Tuesday, November 11th, 10:00 - 2:00 p.m. in the Campus Center Lobby.

TIPS FOR QUITTING

Getting ready for quit day:
1.Pick the date and mark it on your calendar.
2.Tell friends and family the date you have chosen.
3.Stock up on sugarless gum, carrot sticks, and hard candy.
4.Set up a support system.

Getting through the quit day:
1.Get rid of all cigarettes, lighters, and ashtrays.
2.Stay active- try walking, exercising, or doing other activities.
3.Drink lots of water and juice.
4.Reward yourself.
