The Sustainability Café will see the return to campus of an alumnae discussing her work in "Environmental Advocacy." This Café will be held on Monday, November 17, at 4:00 p.m. in Center for Natural Sciences room 115, in conjunction with the Environmental Seminar.

Christine Dorsey ’91 is Media Director for the National Wildlife Federation, one of the premiere organizations dedicated to wildlife protection and to helping connect individuals with nature. NWF programs including instructions on gardening to support wildlife and the Ranger Rick environmental reading program for youngsters.

In recent years, NWF has begun to focus much of its efforts on combating the negative impacts of global warming on wildlife. NWFs Campus Ecology program supports the sustainability efforts of higher education institutions.

This Café is co-sponsored by the Environmental Seminar.

"Teachable edibles" -- seasonal, organic, and/or local foods -- for the Fall 2008 Sustainability Café series are being supported by Ithaca College Dining Services. Please bring your reusable mug and fill up at the drinking fountain or provide your beverage of choice.

All Sustainability Café events are free and open to the public.
