There will be an all H&S faculty meeting on Friday, November 14, at 4:00 p.m. in Textor 101.
Dean Leslie Lewis and the H&S Faculty Senate called this meeting— which we hope will set a precedent for the future—for several reasons, both of which are aimed at keeping you informed and giving you a larger voice in faculty governance. First, regularly meetings will give Dean Lewis the opportunity to present on-going “state of H&S” reports and to take questions from the faculty. Second, these meetings will give the Senate a chance to discuss with you our—and YOUR--governance role in H&S. We are your representatives; we want and need your input on issues of importance to us all.

2. The role of H&S Faculty Senate and faculty in governance at IC under the leadership of a new dean
3. Discussion of continued status of CAPP (Committee on Academic Policies and Procedures) as a standing committee due to CAPP having a similar mission as the mission of the H&S Faculty Senate. We will distribute a draft proposal as a starting point for this conversation
4. Open discussion/questions
5. Adjourn at 5:00 p.m.
