Ithaca College

A taped interview with aging studies major Christian Laurence will air, on a rotating basis, on WHCU-870 radio, beginning this afternoon. Tune in to 870 AM to hear Christian talk with news anchor Todd Messer about the experiences Christian has had with Longview residents as a result of the Ithaca College/Longview partnership.

Both institutions are currently celebrating the first 10 years of that partnership, which has involved college staff, students, faculty, and Longview residents with service-learning projects, gerontology fieldwork, volunteer opportunities, and other initiatives.

In a typical semester, two dozen faculty, between 5 and 10 staff members, and approximately 300 students from 20 majors interact with well over 100 residents in 40 different activities at Longview.
