Feeling SAD?
The days are getting darker, the weather colder. It can be depressing.
If you feel moody and less energetic or less productive; if you have trouble concentrating, sleep more than usual, and are less enthused about life and socializing, you might be experiencing Seasonal Affective Disorder.
The Health Promotion Resource Room (Hammond Health Center lower level, down the hall from the Counseling Center) has a light box display for trial use, and information about light therapy and other ways to combat winter blues. Feel free to drop in to pick up information and try the light box.
If seasonal depression is affecting your daily functioning, please make an appointment to see a counselor in the Counseling Center by calling 607-274-3136.
Don't let the weather bring you down!
