MLK Day 2009

The second annual campus celebration of learning and service in honor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday will be held on January 19, 2009. More information and a detailed schedule can be found at the MLK Day campus website:

This year's theme is "One World, One House" -- based on a chapter from the book, Where Do We Go from Here: Chaos or Community? The "World House" chapter discusses the evils of racism, poverty, and war.

You've probably already discovered that the Library's copy of the book containing MLK's "one big house" speech is in use. However, this speech, which which Dr. King gave when he received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964, is available on the Internet (in case you haven't found it yet), amongst other places, at the Nobel prize web site:
