The Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen film series will offer a screening of Saint of 9/11, a film about the life of Father Mychal Judge, the New York City Fire Department (NYFD) chaplain. The screening, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Thursday, February 12, at 7:00 p.m. in Textor 102.

The life of Father Mychal Judge, a gay Franciscan priest and NYFD chaplain, who died outside the World Trade Center as he attended to victims of the 2001 terrorist attacks. Father Judge was a humble parish priest who wrestled with his own private demons while inspiring others in powerful and miraculous ways.

Sponsored by the Ithaca College Center for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Education, Outreach, and Services, the film series this year will explore sexual orientation and identity through the lens of faith.
