Stephen Tropiano, associate professor in the Department of Television-Radio and director of the Ithaca College Los Angeles Program, recently published Obscene, Indecent, Immoral, and Offensive: 100+ Years of Censored, Banned, and Controversial Films, a study of films that pushed the cinematic envelope with explicit language, nudity, sex, violence, or adult subject matter. Tropiano was also recently reappointed to the executive committee of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He is currently serving as a judge for the Academy's College Television Awards and "Television Honors," which recognizes television programming "with a conscience."
