Monday February 2nd 7pm Williams 225!
SPEAKER: Heather Stone, MPH
I am the Program Manager for Cornell's Program on Breast Cancer and Environmental Risk Factors (BCERF). Our program is working on a project called The Estrogen Connection. With the help from Ithaca College students and professors we developed 3 short video clips demonstrating simple steps students can make to reduce their exposure to environmental estrogens in everyday products. Here are the links to the videos:

BCERF wants to get the word out on the IC campus about Breast Cancer and The Estrogen Connection. Research has shown that small amounts of environmental estrogens found in many everyday products can add up, and may work with the body's own estrogen to increase breast cancer risk. BCERF wants to raise awareness and share information about some easy ways to reduce exposure to these estrogenic materials.
Are you interested in working with us to get students to watch the videos? We have been promoting our videos through advertising (posters, electronic ads, bookmarks, handouts, etc.) and also offering presentations on The Estrogen Connection. It would be great to have materials available on the IC campus and also to have the opportunity to talk to students via a presentation.
