Leigh Ann Vaughn, associate professor in the Department of Psychology, presented research at the 10th annual conference of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology in Tampa, Florida, on February 8, 2009. The research was coauthored by 2008 Ithaca College psychology graduates Audrey Harkness and Emily Clark.

The research focused on factors influencing trust at the beginning of relationships. It has been accepted for publication in the interdisciplinary journal Personal Relationships.

The authors conducted this research in Professor Vaughn's Social Judgment Research Team. The following students on the team helped with data collection and with initial posters about the research: Melissa Ball, Ellen Gagne, Tanesia Harris, Shamika Jackson, Rebecca Meltzer-Lyon, Rebecca Ramirez, and Gregory Spirer.
