I am recruiting volunteers -- infants, children, and adolescents -- for lab sessions in my Normal Motor Development physical therapy course.

Please consider bringing your infant/child (ages 1 month to 2-1/2 years) and/or children/young adolescents (3 to 12+ years) for one or more fun sessions where senior PT students will observe and test, as you allow, different aspects of your child’s development and ask you a few questions about your child’s development.

You may be with your child all the time and three PT instructors will guide the students during the labs. You child will receive $15 per lab session he/she would participate in. You will be asked to sign a consent form for your child's participation and a W-9 form on which you will write your child's Social Security number.

You may choose to participate in one, two, or all three lab sessions held on the same day for three different groups of students. All the labs are held in room 207 of the Center for Health Sciences (CHS). If you require parking, please let me know as we will have a few spaces assigned near the building.

The three, one-hour Infants Group labs will be held on Monday, March 30, at 10:30-11:30; 1:30 to 2:30; and 3:30-4:30.

The three, one-hour Children/Young Adolescents Group labs will be on Monday, April 13, at 10:30-11:30; 1:30 to 2:30; and 3:30-4:30.

Please come 15 minutes before each session, and bring a few toys your child prefers (especially the infants) as well as a drink for your child; we will have water bottles.

If you are interested or would like more information, please call me at 607-274-3116 or e-mail hlarin@ithaca.edu.

Thank you,
