Rebecca Plante, associate professor of sociology at Ithaca College, will discuss her research on "hooking up" on Wednesday, February 25, at 7:00 p.m. in Textor 101.

What is hooking up? How do students define it? How do students feel about it? Is dating dead? What's good about hooking up ... or not so good? Are heterosexual women more interested in relationships than heterosexual men are?

This talk by Rebecca Plante will discuss survey and interview data on undergraduate students' experiences with dating and hooking up -- students from across the country and at Ithaca College.

Plante's lecture is sponsored by the Health Promotion Committee and the Department of Sociology.
