Music for flute by Bach, Liebermann, and Clarke is on the program of an upcoming free recital by Kelly Covert and pianist Robert Auler. The event will take place Sunday, February 22, at 4:00 p.m. in the Hockett Family Recital Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music.
Kelly J. Covert, a lecturer in music performance since 2000, teaches flute majors in every music degree program and coaches chamber music at Ithaca College. Kelly attended the University of Georgia and Ithaca College, where she received her bachelor and master of music degrees with honors in flute performance. She has studied with Wendy Mehne, Claudia Anderson, Julie Stone, and Jim Zellers. Kelly also teaches flute at Oswego State University, has a private studio in Baldwinsville, New York, and has served on the faculty at Syracuse University. |
