Ithaca College

Conrad Alexander will be the featured timpani soloist on an upcoming free concert by the Ithaca College Wind Ensemble on Monday, February 23, at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall, in the James J. Whalen Center for Music. Stephen Peterson will conduct the work by Michael Daugherty, entitled "Raise the Roof."

Faculty pianist Diane Birr will also play a vital role in the concert during Olivier Messiaen's "Oiseaux Exotiques" ("Exotic Birds"), a work consisting entirely of imitations of birdsong.

Music of Bryant, Nelson, Tcherepnin, and Grainger will round out the program.
