College-Owned Mac Users - Do NOT Install the Latest Update from Apple!Contributed by Beth Rugg on 02/17/09 Apple released Security Update 2009-001 on February 13, 2009. If you are a Mac user you will be prompted to install this update. This security update will break network printing for Macs. ITS strongly recommends that users of college-owned Macs NOT install this update. This problem will affect campus networked printing because, in our Novell network environment, we use software called iPrint for printing. This update breaks iPrint printing. This problem affects both the Tiger and Leopard operating systems. This problem should not affect personal laptops or labs. We have been assured that Novell is looking into fixing this problem.
